Job SummaryThe Electrical Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for executing and managing the Electrical Maintenance activities and Electrical Capital Program Projects activities to ensure system integrity, technical configuration, service restoration and performance of preventative and corrective maintenance for assigned complex electrical equipment and systems used in the provision of Air Navigation Services to aircraft. The proper maintenance of NAV CANADA’s electrical equipment and systems is a key activity in ensuring continuing Air Navigation System (ANS) service availability to the flying public.

In this role you will:
Execute and manage the electrical maintenance services on all major equipment and systems (interruptible power unit, Uninterruptible Power Supply and Electrical distribution) at Area Control Centre (ACC), Air Traffic Control Towers, and Navigational Aids (NAVAIDS) as per established schedules, procedures, and guidelines.
Provide on-site coordination of construction activities acting as liaison between NAV CANADA, contractors, local airport authorities, and external customers.
Ensure work is executed in compliance with contract documents, Federal, provincial, and municipal regulations, and NAV CANADA policy and procedures.
Ensure optimum effectiveness of operation of equipment for the designated area of responsibility.
Respond to corrective maintenance issues by investigating system problems, developing solutions, providing 2nd level technical support, reconfiguring systems, and rectifying deficiencies in real time operations.
What you bring:
Electrical trade certification at the Journeyman level, with a certificate of qualification in electricity issued by Emplois Québec, with a minimum of 8-10 years of continuous experience.
Experience in the troubleshooting and maintenance of generators, interruptible power units, Uninterruptible Power Supply, and electrical distribution systems.
Experience in interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience coordinating multiple trades on a job site.
Experience monitoring construction progress to scope, schedule and budget and reporting progress.
Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and how to input, analyze, schedule, and execute upon asset information.
Knowledge of project management software to input, analyze, schedule, and execute upon maintenance.
Thorough knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and other regulatory requirements.

Working Conditions:
Travel to sites required, (80 pre-scheduled based on pre-establishing maintenance program).
This position is classified as an onsite position, based at the Montreal ACC in Dorval, Quebec.
