Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Centre (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering centre. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
Role Overview:
- Support implementation of EHS programs by operationalizing EHS by working with leadership to ensure compliance with applicable laws, local regulations and GE Aerospace Programs.
- Assist in the creation, implementation and monitoring of company EHS policies, programs, and procedures as per GE Aerospaces global EHS expectations & Framework at the site.
- Conduct regular EHS inspections and assist in identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
- Provide support to research / engineering / functions team in driving EHS programs with rigor and partner to integrate EHS in day-to-day operations.
- Help maintain EHS documentation, training records, and incident logs.
- Support and drive employee engagement events in EHS.
- Support EHS compliance and programs effectiveness through audits, process / equipment reviews and site inspections to ensure safe work practices followed at the centre.
- Support EHS Key performance indicators (KPI) for the research & development centre by closely working with leadership team.
- Deliver EHS-related training and safety briefings to employees and maintain EHS related records.
- Track and manage safety supplies, PPE inventory, and signage.
Ideal candidate:
Should have experience in EHS.
Required Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline in EHS with a minimum of 5+ years of working experience in industry.
- Experience with Indian EHS Regulations applicable to research & development organization.
