Summary:
Seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) with DB2 experience to support and manage the smooth operation and physical design of databases.
Responsible for maintaining database performance, integrity, and security while implementing improvements and supporting integration efforts.
Implement and maintain database operations, focusing on DB2 environments
Review database design and integration of systems
Ensure database security, integrity, and backup/recovery procedures
Monitor transaction activity and resource utilization
Develop and manage operational procedures
Oversee environment management and database health (proactive/reactive monitoring)
Plan for resource needs, database upgrades, and transitions between development, test, and production environments
Create and enforce policies, procedures, and standards related to database management
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Proven experience with DB2 databases
Strong knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, and database lifecycle management
