Data Analyst, dnata Cargo

dnata is one of the world’s largest air and travel services providers; offering ground handling, cargo, travel and catering & retail services at over 130 airports in more than 30 countries across six continents. dnata Cargo offers premium cargo handling services for passenger belly cargo and freighter cargo. 

The Data Analyst will drive the Business with the use of data and relevant analytical techniques to identify gaps, design solutions & deliver opportunities where Advance Analytics can reduce cost, increase service efficiency or drive revenue. The role is based full-time in our Dubai office.

In this role, you will:

• Work closely with different business areas of the business to prioritise business information needs and data analysis requirements to measure and define key performance measures that drive actionable change.


• Identify new process improvement opportunities that are in line with business strategy and drive change management.


• Drive initiatives within the Business to ensure the quality of data available to aid timely and accurate analysis and interpretation of different strategic priorities for the business, such that the business is constantly on the upward trend.


• Provide exploratory analysis using different techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining to discover patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and predict future business outcomes and trends to support business improvement and decision.


• Assist with the in-depth analysis of historical data through predictive/projection modelling for co-relations during the business planning process to optimise opportunities for cost reduction or increase in revenues.

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:  

• Bachelor's degree in Operational Research, Statistics, Data Science or similar numerical with preferably a post-graduate qualification.


• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a data supported organisation.


• At least 2 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.


• Must have experience in SQL, Python and Power BI.

You will have an edge, if you have:

• Aviation or Consulting industry experience.
