JOB TITLE: Crew Scheduler
DEPARTMENT: Flight Operations
REPORTS TO: Crew Scheduling Manager and Deputy Director of GOCC
FLSA: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The Crew Scheduler is responsible for scheduling Pilots in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies, assuring that all flights are properly crewed and that legal issues are satisfied.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to:
- Resource planning / scheduling of flight crew to ensure maximum utilization of the fleet.
- Monitor crew duties to ensure compliance within industry required limits.
- Inform flight crew of changes that occur to their rosters.
- Coordinate flight crew accommodations and transportation.
- Coordinate roster changes in case of sickness or other unavailability at short notice.
- Update and maintain respective databases and tracking programs.
- Perform any other tasks/duties assigned in accordance with the instructions of the Reporting Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of rules and regulations of crew scheduling as it relates to the aviation industry.
- Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, various pilot scheduling software.
- 1-2 Years of experience maintaining rosters, resource planning, or moving people around at large volumes.
- Working knowledge of FAA 135 Scheduled Operations – Preferred
- Flight and/or Ground Operations Experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with all levels of staff to ensure crew are fully aware and briefed on their roster and any changes.
- Good mathematical and analytic skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize, and communicate project status.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business.
- Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Solutions-driven mindset with a demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently.
Miscellaneous Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Computer, office equipment, phone skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
- Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays.
- Ability to pass 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen as required by company and/or airline regulations.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.
