Business Systems Analyst II

Job Description:

DPP is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Work arrangement:

Partial onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite, and as needed.
W2 position; 11 months
Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level US security clearance (Public Trust).

Position summary:

The Business Systems Analyst will oversee and manage the workflow for End User Package, Deployment, and Remediation teams across all stages of solution development, testing, and deployment.
Using data analysis and visualization tools alongside with ServiceNow and the Microsoft M365 suite, they will track progress, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency.
The role includes maintaining accurate documentation, gathering and translating requirements, coordinating quality assurance efforts, and delivering clear, timely status updates to stakeholders.
By leveraging these tools and practices, the Business Analyst ensures transparency, alignment with business objectives, and successful delivery of software products to our customers.

Required technologies:

Data Analysis and Visualization Tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Splunk
Microsoft M365 suite

Nice to have:

ServiceNow / Azure Board experience
Demonstrated experience with software distribution tools such as SCCM, Intune, or BigFix, including oversight and management of deployment processes.
Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments, with a strong understanding of iterative development, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and cross-functional team collaboration.

Preferred certifications:

Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
HIPAA
LOMA

Minimum required work experience:

4 years of IT business analysis experience.

Required education/equivalencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job-related degree;
OR, Associates degree in CS, Bus. Admin., or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 8 years without a degree)

As one of five teams within End User Services, this group serves as the execution arm for delivering large-scale software deployments, vulnerability patches, and remediation updates across more than 20,000 endpoints, including workstations and Citrix platforms.
With 17 dedicated professionals organized into six specialized work areas, the team collaborates seamlessly to develop, test, and deliver updates that meet stakeholder needs and maintain operational excellence in a complex, diverse environment. Their work is essential to safeguarding our systems and enabling productivity across the enterprise.
