What Will You Be Doing?
Develop, maintain, and execute forecasting and decision models through a strong combination of analytics, business intelligence, and trend analysis to accurately estimate long and short-range labor, material, tooling, and facility demand.
Essential Functions
- Develop effective forecast models based on demand trends and patterns.
- Shape demand to operational and material limitation.
- Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
- Provide guidance to demand planning team as needed.
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Facilitate & manage monthly planning meetings to collaboratively develop consensus among stakeholder.
- Communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
- Monitor and report on important changes in forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
- Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist other teams within Materials as needed to support the operation
- Generate and authorize work orders in FMIS/TRAX.
- Assist in planning and scheduling work to achieve compliance for all EOs, EAs and FCD issued by Engineering.
- Complete review of all long term Other Deferred Maintenance (ODM) items for required manpower, skillset, equipment, parts and tooling.
- Conduct coordination meetings to review manpower, materials and parts, tooling, equipment, skillset, and span time requirements with necessary departments
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Line Maintenance Planning.
- Establish, coordinate, and monitor Line Maintenance activities on a sliding window basis.
- Communicate and coordinate efficiently with the following groups: Line Maintenance, Heavy Maintenance, Inspection, Engineering, Materials and Purchasing, Maintenance Control, System Operation Control (SOC) Managers, Aircraft Routers, and Maintenance Programs to ensure the success of maintenance planning Identify and de-peak material demands
- Establish and optimizes a maintenance task schedule utilizing the TCI/MX Program intervals
- Establish and optimizes material demands to meet LHT contract
Other Functions
- Create statistical forecasts:
- Gather, analyze and validate data
- Execute statistical modeling
- Review resulting statistical forecast model
- Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting
- Summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts
- All other duties as reasonably requested
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business, operations, supply chain or other relevant field
- 4 years of direct demand planning analytic experience may be substituted for a degree
- Minimum of 2-years experience in a demand planning/forecasting or statistical modeling, or similar experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of operations planning, inventory management, and procedures -Strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in common software - Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, etc.), Tableau, Alteryx, Business Intelligence, or similar analytic software.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
- Application of data aggregation and visualization.
- Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Communicates in a manner that is appropriate for audience; can “read the room” and adjust quickly if necessary, to make the most positive impact
- Advises team and department with technical aspects, translate complicated technical information to a visual representation that non-technical users can understand

- Ability to handle time sensitive and multi-faceted projects
