Air Canada Cargo is seeking an Analyst, Cargo AI Transformation to help drive our data-driven initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Technical Product Managers, acting as a bridge between business needs and analytics solutions. By leveraging your expertise in both business and analytics, you will help enhance customer experience and improve decision-making through innovative AI-driven insights.

Responsibilities: 

Business Requirement Definition and Alignment:

  • Participate in the definition of business requirements for Cargo Artificial Intelligence initiatives, including quantitative analysis (value impact evaluation) to support strategic recommendations
  • Play a key role in establishing the scope of the AI initiatives by conducting stakeholder interviews, documenting their needs, pain points, and synthesizing the results
  • Provide the link between business needs and advanced analytics capabilities
  • Support Business Intelligence and Cargo activities to create the link between AI and BI

Analytics Design and Execution:

  • Translate business inputs into a plan for the analytics team, guiding model validation and data interpretation.
  • Responsible for creation and monitoring of value measurement tracking, including visual reports

Testing, Communication, and Visualization:

  • Participate in testing of new Cargo AI applications, including monitoring bugs and coordinating with the quality assurance team on improvements
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical specialists; share insights with business stakeholders and collect inputs to verify and iterate analytics results
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations for presenting results
  • Work with the UI and UX teams to ensure that the business solution optimizes customer experience

Qualifications

  • University degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or Business Translator role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive on-time project execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong desire to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and initiative.
  • Knowledge of the air cargo industry is an asset.
  • Experience in computer science or coding (any language) is a plus.
