Summary and Objective  

The Plant Controller will be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities for the Maintenance Repair & Overhaul function.   

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Plant Controller to join our dynamic MRO team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled finance professional to contribute to our companys financial health, helping to shape strategic decisions and maintain our strong financial position. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial analysis, cost accounting, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, business analysis, process improvement, financial planning, internal controls, cost management, and inventory reconciliation. This role is also responsible for maintaining compliance with IATF 1699 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and maintaining the general ledger. Experience with Intactt, Coupa, and Corridor is considered a plus.

  • Oversee and manage the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, assess performance, and pinpoint areas for improvement.

  • Oversees preparation of financial statements and analysis, budgets and forecasts, and variance analysis of actual performance results.

  • Maintains fiscal responsibility and ensures the establishment and administration of adequate internal controls within the organization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide business analysis and support strategic decision making.

  • Works effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior management

  • Manages and develops a team focused on business partnering, advisory, continuous improvement efforts, and data driven analysis/decision making

  • Drive cost management initiatives and implement cost-saving measures.

  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

  • Ensure compliance with FAA standards and SOX Controls.

  • Perform inventory reconciliation and manage inventory accounting.

  • Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

  • Prepare detailed financial reports and present findings and recommendations to management.

  • Helps drive profitable decision making and maximizing return on assets by preparing and analyzing financial data along with operational metrics.

  • Understands and remains close with the operations of the business and operators, providing them with financial analysis and business insights to help with decision making

  • Presents analysis findings to various leaders in the business.

  • Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and developing employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key information, including presentations to senior management or other outside partners. 

  • Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers.

Work environment 

  • Typical office and computer lab environment with frequent interruptions.

Job Requirements:

Required education and experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, cost accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Solid understanding of business analysis, process improvement, financial planning, internal controls, cost management, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Proven experience in maintaining SOX Compliance
  • Proficiency in maintaining a general ledger.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Preferred education and experience 

  • MBA preferred
