Qatar Airways is looking for experienced staff to join our team in Mumbai, India as Passenger Interline Accounting Officer.
This position will be responsible to review and monitor interline work within revenue accounting performed by Business Process Outsourcing partner (BPO) for timely and accurate processing of interline billing data. The Officer will also be responsible to monitor and coordinate with the outsourcing processing unit for Interline related matters and correspond with airlines and QR Commercials for the interline related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely processing and billing submission of Interline Passenger ICH/Non-lCH (Outward and Inward) performed by outsourced processing partner (BPO).
- Report the billing discrepancies/errors identified through the quality check to BPO on a monthly basis and ensure closure. Ensure corrective and preventive action taken by BPO to address the errors identified.
- Monitor Processing of NICH invoices by BPO and ensuring payment as per NICH Contract terms and submit to 12P for payment after necessary approvals.
- Co-ordinate with BPO, QR Stations, Commercial, Legal team in cases of partner airline bankruptcy proceedings to submit QR claim for these carriers.
- Review and submit monthly Non-ICH balances and justifications to QR Head Office Account Receivables team for financial reporting.
- Ensure reconciliation and accruals of passenger Interline related P&L are passed correctly for accurate financial reporting.
- Review and share feedback for draft agreements shared by Alliance team e.g. Codeshare, SPA, SRA, BITA, UITA etc. on interline related clauses.
- Ensure that ICH/NICH related changes are updated by BPO in the respective SOPs.
- Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures regarding the use, processing, disclosure and security of any information (in any form).
- Ensure all uses, disclosures and requests of any information (in any form) are done in accordance with data protection principles adopted by the QR Group and are limited to what is reasonably required to accomplish the intended business purposes of the use, disclosure or request.

Qualification – External
- Bachelors degree preferably in Finance and Accounting with 3 years relevant work experience in the field.
- Relevant experience in Interline Accounting processes related knowledge.
- Experience in aviation industry.
- Experience of handling Interline related work in outsourcing environment (BPO)
- Prefer certification such as IATA/UFTAA foundation or advance course
- Prior experience in GBS operation set up is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
